I’ve been working a lot for the past 10 days. Now, those 1000 vehicles are just waiting for the adress data ![]()
Looking forward !
I’ve updated my first post in this topic with a progress table. You can check the address package availability there.
Today, we added the France package from @amras to the stage servers. Please have a quick look. If you approve the integration, we’ll merge it into the regular servers.
Wir prüfen, was wir tun können. Leider kann ich bei Teildaten keine Garantie geben.
Hello,
I tested the french adress pack today and it seems to be working fine. Data from stage server seems quite old tho so i did a fake dispatch center to test it !
Hello,
I have just sent your email a geo file including coordinates of the whole of Great Britain (UK).
The French data is now available on the regular servers as well. It may take a few hours before all streets can be selected in the search.
I’ve looked at the UK data. Unfortunately, it only contains IDs with coordinates, but no street names, districts, etc.
I have just sent you another email including street names and districts.
Hai per caso avuto modo di visionare il file che ti ho mandato? Italia
Just wondering if the new email I sent you, with the file is useable?
Thank you! We will check this out asap.
good morning.
I think i found a place where all the data from Spain, it is swon at thecountry level it come from the national cartografy sistem, there is althoug a province level map, i Ad the file for the country level + the web, al the data is in SPH and gpkg files.
I can email it if needed.
if need i can email the documets
Spain Data send to kontakt@xenbit.de
I have managed to obtain data for The Netherlands, but the files define Latitudes and Longitudes on a house number-level, and not on a district level. Additionally districts are not defined in the file either unfortunately, though I wonder how important it is for the game or gameplay? (I never refer to the district I live in daily live for example. Manually adding them it going to take a little too much time…)
I have no knowledge or experience dealing with such (huge) datasets, but I’m willing to see if I can get the set to you in something approaching the desired format. Two questions though:
- Can districts simply be the same as the city?
- How to deal with the Coordinates given that I do not have them on a district level?
Given my 0 experience or knowledge dealing with these sets I may not be the right person to supply what you’re looking for, but again, I’m willing to see if I can be of help with the sets that I have.
I can supply the raw data for one of the provinces first if you want to have a look at what we’re working with also, if that helps?
Thanks for your response.
Just a brief update to let you know that we haven’t forgotten your efforts in providing the data. We are currently focusing primarily on server stability, which is why we’re unable to load large datasets at the moment.
Some datasets have been compiled. In January, address data will be available for the following countries: the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Spain. The USA will follow shortly thereafter.
Please ensure that in the administration area of your control center not only the correct package is selected, but that the area is also defined afterward. Address searches are fundamentally filtered to the districts within the defined area.
A GitHub repository has been set up to improve localization for the new regions. At present, it only accepts first and last names, which are used by the simulation. The content will be expanded incrementally to enable broader collaboration.
When I try to load the data for the Netherlands, specifically the South Holland region, the entire system freezes and eventually returns a 500 internal server error.
After that, if only part of the data manages to load, the application becomes extremely slow and a large portion of the data is missing. Features that should normally be available simply do not appear, and performance remains very poor.
This issue seems directly related to the size or complexity of the South Holland dataset. Smaller or partial datasets work better, but once this region is involved, stability and completeness break down.
Has anyone experienced similar issues when loading large regional datasets?
Where exactly? On adding areas?
