CIm working on the dispatch center of madrid, can somenone explain me how to use the bonus malus, because i think im doing it worng
Bonus/malus has an impact on the hospitals. To understand the function, I will give you an example.
You have an emergency and the ambulance wants to transport the patient. There are two hospitals nearby. Hospital A is 30 kilometers away and hospital B 32 kilometers. The ambulance would now choose hospital A due to the shorter distance. When you add a malus of 10% to hospital A the real distance will be lengthend by 10%. So the new distance will be 33 kilometeres and the ambulance will now chose hospital B.
If you would set hospital B a bonus of 20%, the distance will be shorter by 6,4 kilometers and the ambulance would also chose hospital B
In a nutshell:
- Bonus: shortens the distance to a hospital up to a defined percent
- Malus: lengthens the distance to a hospital up to a defined percent
