Changable status for foreign units

  • Goal: Have real life status indications for dispatchers in other parts of the world

  • Benefits: Makes the simulation more accurate and the players able to work with their local protocols instead of having to think what kind of status the unit is in

  • Possible implementation: If there would be a tab on the administration page in which you could have all current statusses (1-9) and have a conversion table behind in which you can select what status it would be in the country they play in, possibly added with a tickbox for speachprompt / speachprompt urgent.

I think the implementation could be done relatively simple, keep everything in the background the same, just put an override on it. Having it show one status for the user, while keeping the old and default statusses run in the background.

    * Optional: And perhaps have the option to change the colors of the status indictators at the same time and visualisation for unit branches (police, fire, ems)

  • Examples:

    German - Dutch
    Status 1 - Status 5 (Free)
Status 2 - Status 6 (Free on station)
    Status 3 - Status 1 (Accepted call)
Status 4 - Status 2 (Arrived at call location)
    Status 5 - Status 8 (Speach prompt)
    Status 6 - No function - status 0?
Status 7 - Status 3 (Transfer with patient to location)
Status 8 - Status 4 (Arrived with patient at location)
Status 9 - Status 7 (Something to do with radio settings)
Status 0 - Status 9 (Urgent speach prompt)

  • Visualisations: Possible visualisation on a tab in the radio page perhaps? Showing the current radio statusses and colors on the left and the override on the right.

Would also like this feature! In the UK we don’t use numbers, only words. Like ‘MOBILE’ for status 3, or ‘CLEAR’ for status 1. Would help with localisation and realism.
