For each time I start a new session on v4 it wants to download the client again.

Have a windows machine.
Start a session
Client download dialogue starts all the time

  1. Click on ‚…‘ / Klicke auf ‚…‘
  2. Scroll down to ‚…‘ / Scrolle nach unten zu ‚…‘
  3. See error / Fehler sichtbar

Expected Behavior / Erwartetes Verhalten

Detection of client, and should open the client

Actual Behavior / Tatsächliches Verhalten

It asks to download a 80MB client!

Impossible to use

Minor: Small / cosmetic impact. / Kleiner / kosmetischer Einfluss.
Moderate: It disrupts some workflows. / Beeinträchtigt einige Arbeitsabläufe.
Critical: I can’t use the platform at all. / Die Plattform ist nicht nutzbar.

The Windows client had a bug that prevented automatic updates. The workaround is to manually download the updated .exe file from the platform (session) page here: https://platform.sim-dispatcher.com

We hope that upcoming versions will support proper automatic updates without the need to manually download the executable. If not, it’s indeed a bug we need to investigate again.
