Question about equipment vs [function preview only]

Hello everyone,

I’m currently looking to add the fire departments of our district to my control center, now that the emergency medical services & patient transport have been completely entered.

I’m currently creating both the necessary keywords and fire department vehicles, but I’ve come across something confusing regarding the equipment selection:

For example, do I only need to specify the equipment items (lighting, ventilation, fire pump, etc.) for an HLF, or should I only select “[Function only in suggestion] HLF”? Or do I need to/can I select both? I don’t quite understand why these two options exist and how they affect/influence the AAO suggestion.

Also…if you want to recreate it realistically, then you assign the vehicles their corresponding equipment. Using only the vehicle category alone won’t help you…because the sim already requires certain equipment, e.g., for locked doors, the door opening kit, for escaping gas, the measuring device, etc.
