This dispatch center is a mostly realistic build of the Pike County Fire and EMS system in Pennsylvania. The best information available on hand was used to create the system. All EMD codes have been entered with automatic unit recommendations prepared. Fire Dispatch codes not already covered by the EMD codes have been added with some directions below to explain the recommendation system.

A fictional EMS agency was added to cover an area with undeserved ALS portions of the county known as Reliant EMS.

  • addition of coding EMS Supervisor recommendations to some type codes
  • Prepping for possible IFTs
  • Add police department locations and remove the 911 center as a police station
  • Add school locations
  • Look for additional medical offices for addition

Helpful Notes

  • Pike County 911 in contacts - setup as police station for requesting PD
  • Pike County Light & Power in contacts to request utility company (energy services).
  • Pike County DPW in contact to request road services.
  • Pike County Water Department listed in contacts to request utility services.
  • For all structure fire calls assign type code STR first then FA1 FA2 FA3 FA4 for each additional alarm following to automatically recommend units for box assignments.

I’ve decided to initiate a change log in order to show activity in the administration of this Dispatch Center. All feedback, questions, concerns, or suggestions are welcome via reply to the topic or via DM.

Recent Updates:

  • adjusted EMD type codes to automatically recommend units on Alpha Response level calls
  • adjusted EMD type codes that were created prior to FD inclusion to have automatic fire response on recommendation for appropriate call types
  • added a few automatic medevac recommendations to EMD type codes
  • adjusted PD requirement for some type codes
  • added Pike County Water to the server as a utility so you can request waterworks through this as well instead of via the power company as you would have had to previously
  • updated the 6E type code to auto recommend an ALS unit as it was left off in error
  • added QRS (first responder) requirements for some older type codes prior to FD inclusion

Dispatch center settings have been updated to resolve the issues created in the last system update. They have not yet been tested and may be required to be adjusted further but I will be traveling and unable to make further adjustments for another week or so.
