Future of AAO? !

Currently, the AAO is keyword-bound, which means the units stored in the keyword are universally applicable in every location and at every POI.

In reality, however, the AAO is object-bound, which means, for example, that a BMA for a furniture store is stored differently than the BMA for a tank storage facility, and that’s just one example among many. A VU-PKL in a small town may be stored differently than a VU-PKL in a rural area. What we currently store, however, is universally applicable regardless of whether it’s urban or rural. An AAO in town A doesn’t have to match the AAO in town B even though they’re in the same district; the AAO is usually determined at the municipal level.

I would wish for and welcome the ability for us creators to implement exactly that—moving away from this current AAO and toward one that reflects reality.

Hi,

if you want to implement an AAO object-bound, you can currently do this via measures.

As for implementing a VU-PKL, this should already be possible without any issues, unless I’m missing something:

    • Keyword: VU-PKL
    • Units: VU-PKL_Stadt_* or VU-PKL_Land_*
    • Areas: Assign according to the respective district. This may affect a large part of the area, provided that an appropriate assignment is possible.
    • Smaller, differentiated street sections as well as federal and state roads: In exceptional cases, these can still be mapped via measures.

Nevertheless, I generally understand the desire to simplify the procedure and programming around the entire AAO topic.

A lot is already possible at the moment, but you first need to know what options are available, find them out, test them, and then implement them accordingly in detail. An editor of some kind or a guided mechanic that supports you and guides you through the individual steps would certainly be very helpful.

    Best regards

Each dispatch center area works differently. In our case, for example, there are several BMA keywords, BMA1, BMA2, etc. These differ in content.

However, if one of these keywords is assigned to an object, the AAO is always the same accordingly.

You can currently generate a separate AAO per keyword for each district using the current AAO. Of course it’s more work, but it would still be work if it were configurable differently, wouldn’t it?

An example regarding PN will follow in the next few days when I have a bit more time.

Best regards
